Directors 

Hoskins & Company currently has a staff of ten accounting professionals and assistants, and is owned and operated by two shareholders: Managing Director, Harvey Hoskins, CPA, and Assurance Services Director, Angelita Dobbs, CPA.  
 

Harvey E. Hoskins, CPA

Harvey may be considered a local expert in IRS Representation for audits, collections and appeals.  In addition to working a decade for the Internal Revenue Service where he advanced to Assistant Audit Division Chief, he co-founded Hoskins & Company.  Harvey has over 30 years of experience in governmental and public accounting.  He has completed the Harvard School of Business Executive Leadership Institute and is also a licensed Investment and Insurance Advisor.  He has served as financial advisor for numerous organizations in various industries.   

Angelita Latham Dobbs, CPA

Angelita has over 15 years of experience in governmental and public accounting.  Prior to joining Hoskins & Company in 1995, she succeeded as an internal auditor for the Tennessee Department of Employment Security and as Finance and Compliance Auditor for the Comptroller of the Treasury, Division of State Audit.  After joining Hoskins & Company, she progressed from Senior Auditor to Assurance Services Director overseeing all audit engagements.  Angelita is a graduate of Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting, and a graduate of Belmont University with a Masters of Accountancy degree. 

Experience

We are continually developing our professional staff, so every Hoskins & Company accountant receives, at a minimum, 40 hours of continuing professional education each year.  Each Director and Manager has at least 15 years of service in the accounting industry, which means we bring significant experience to every engagement. 

Integrity

Throughout 20 years of providing accounting services, Hoskins & Company has retained a solid reputation for integrity:  there has never been a malpractice suit or a formal complaint brought against the firm to the State Accountancy Board. 

Continuity

Hoskins & Company places a high level of importance on continuity of professional staff providing services to clients, as it limits the amount of retraining required each year to complete an engagement.
