Dawit joined the accounting staff of Hoskins & Company in 2001 as a Senior Auditor. He soon advanced to Senior Manager. With over 15 years of experience in governmental and public accounting, Dawit became the firm's Assurance Services Director in 2008. He is now responsible for overseeing all audit, review and compilation engagements. Prior to joining our staff, Dawit worked as an accountant for the State of Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration.
Dawit is designated director in charge of ensuring the quality of our services as required by our AICPA Governmental Audit Quality Center membership. He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors: the only professional association devoted exclusively to the profession of internal auditing. This membership provides him instant online access to the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, Code of Ethics, and information about the latest changes to professional guidance. Dawit is also a member of the Tennessee Society of CPAs Government Audit Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology.
